Game abandoned after 55 mins with score standing at Sharks 35 Raptors 42

Raptors arrived with a full squad and kindly agreed to augment our 7 players to make it an abbreviated 12 a side game. In a free flowing game where both sides threw caution to the wind to play open rugby there was tries galore from both sides with Raptors edging it by one try. In the course of attacking the Raptors line Greg Wood took the ball into contact suffering a serious leg injury as two defenders came in to tackle him. The game was thereafter abandoned as an ambulance was called to take Greg to hospital. Both teams wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.
