Cartha QP RFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Steven McLoughlin as our Women’s Head Coach following the application and selection process.

Steven is no stranger to the club having already coached U14s and U16s boys with a previous spell as Women’s Head Coach and of course as our highly- successful CQP Claymores head coach who won their league this season and were runners up in the Shield Final at Murrayfield earlier this month. Steven is a UKCC Level 3 qualified coach as well as coaching in the PDH Scotland Girls U16s/U18s.

Val Whyte Vice President Women said: ‘ We are pleased to announce this appointment. Steven is an excellent candidate and he is keen to develop and build the Women’s section at the club.’

Steven added: ‘I’m looking forward to this new role and challenge especially growing the Women’s game at Dumbreck. I’m sure working with other coaches across the club we can really push on and develop our players who are a very committed and enthusiastic group. ‘
