Sharks / GHA take the spoils

Sharks/GHA 15 Whitecraigs 10

Sharks and GHA combined to take on a strong Whitecraigs side at home. Prior to kick off there was a minutes silence in respect to the memory of Derek Blackshaw who will be greatly missed by everyone at the club.

Whitecraigs were first to score having used their forwards to secure a few phases of hitting up using their forwards. Not to be outdone the combined team then began to find their rhythm combining well through the forwards and backs to score. Then just before half time Andy ‘the Salmon’ Moran found himself with a two on one. He drew the back in before passing to Stevie Meenagh who found himself in the wing and dived over to score.

In the second half both sides scored the pick being Sharks/ GHA who combined with some fine interplay to score in the corner.All tries went unconverted.

Thanks to all who turned up and Ref Martin from Braidholm to get the game on. Next social tournament is at Whitecraigs on 6 Nov involving Sharks, Adrossan and GHA along with the hosts.
